Introduction
Across America, several organizations and communities provide programs that design and build affordable homes so that people can realize the dream of being a homeowner. Creating this opportunity often involves logistically ensuring that the financial burden on the homeowner is reasonable. An important element of making the home affordable involves designing and building the home in a cost-effective manner.
Affordable homes should also be affordable to maintain and to support. The designer or architect must determine that balance when designing layout, functions, and material choices. The designer should also strive to create a product with universal design so that any occupant can use the home without adaptation in the present or future. In this project, we will design and create documentation for the design of an Affordable Home in Noblesville, IN.

Project Description- The 2.3.1 Affordable Housing Design Project has our class designing an affordable house located in Noblesville, IN. In this project there are three options of sizes of homes that we could choose, with each of them having different constrains. People have the option of creating a 2 bedroom-900 sq ft house, 3 bedroom-1,070 sq ft house, or a 4 bedroom-1,230 sq ft house. All specifically without a garage or car park. I chose the 2 bedroom-900 sq ft house option with the style of tiny ranch style homes in mind.
